In this fascinating pamphlet, Anthony Cooney outlines the history and ideas of the Distributists. The Distributists rejected Marxism and offered instead a vision of a society of free and property owning men and women. The author argues that Distributism and Social Credit are both Applied Christianity and that they are complementary. Property cannot remain distributed in the milieu of a system of Debt Money designed to centralise everything: equally mere monetary reform cannot cure the heart of our society. Social Credit income promises at least minimal security, and distributed property offers responsibility and dignity.
